Southern Stone has a variety of kid rates and programs. Depending on what you are looking for, be sure to check out all the options we offer for smaller climbers.
Day Use
Southern Stone is always open to the public during our regular business hours! Whether you are new to climbing or just new to Southern, our gym is here to make sure you get your climbing in!
With your climbing pass you will be able to climb all day with no time limit.

Homeschool pricing is a great idea for active indoor fun on hot, cold or rainy days. To qualify for homeschool pricing you must bring proof of homeschool status.
Homeschool day passes are only valid Tuesday - Friday 12:00 - 3:00PM. Climbers must exit the climbing area and return all rental gear promptly at 3:00PM regardless of arrival time.

FAQS About Kids
Q: Are there any restrictions for kids?
A: When taking kids to Southern Stone there are a few things to know before coming in:
Children must be at least 5 years old in order to enter the climbing area.
Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) at all times in the lobby.
Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the climbing area.
Children must be at least 10 years old in order to clip into the auto-belays on their own.
Children 15 and older must pass our belay certification in order to belay.
4:1 child-to-adult ratio required.
Children under 18 are required to have an adult present at all times while in the gym.
Weight limit is 45lbs-300lbs
Q: Do I need to make reservations?
A: Southern Stone always accepts walk-ins and can typically get you climbing in 10 minutes! However; groups of 10 or more can be a bit much on short notice. If you feel your group may be this large, it’s always best to call ahead of time and give our team a heads up.
Q: Are parents/guardians required to go into the climbing area with their children?
A: Yes! All climbers 10 and under must have a adult actively assisting them in the climbing area with a 4:1 child-to-adult ratio. Climbers 11-14 are allowed to climb unassisted, but an adult must remain in the facility at all time. Climbers 14 and under are considered children.
Q: Are there any staff members that belay or clip climbers in to auto-belays?
A: Southern Stone does not provide staff belayers or staff to clip and unclip children from auto-belays. Parents are encouraged to get in on the fun through our belay tutorial which is available for anyone 15+.
Q: Does Southern Stone offer a Birthday Party package?
A: Southern Stone does not offer a specific Birthday Party package. Group Climbs are a great alternative for parties of 10 or more.
Q: Do you allow outside food and drinks into the facility?
A: Water bottles and other single serving drinks and snacks are permitted. Buffet style/shareable foods are not i.e. cakes, pizza, party platters, liters of soda, etc.
Q: Is homeschool pricing available every day or are there restrictions on dates?
A: Weekends, summer, holidays or similar dates are not eligible for the early-in discount.
