Our mission!
At Southern Stone, we focus on community, climbing, inclusiveness and above all safety. We want everyone who walks through the door to be greeted with a friendly smile and feel at home. Whether this is a persons first time or they have been climbing since the start - this is a place for all.
We strive to create a climbing environment that puts everyone at ease while offering a sense of adventure. Safety training is on going, and must be treated with the highest priority. Climbing is dangerous! ..but we’re here help!
Who we are looking for

Southern Stone is looking for reliable, responsible people that are personable and outgoing. As many people are new to climbing in Louisiana, we require a staff that is understanding and knows everyone has different needs and are at different skill levels.
At Southern, we work with groups of all ages - from kids birthday parties, to company team building activities with adults. Staff must be able to hold the attention of a few, and many. Speaking loudly and clearly is crucial to giving orientations. Knowing how to engage with different age groups enthusiastically is critical to the atmosphere we create.
Team members must take responsibility for their actions and know that what we’re doing can be a lot of fun, but is also very dangerous. Our job at Southern requires a lot of attention to details. Small mistakes can have big consequences when it comes to rock climbing.
